Meet the Founder

Dr Brad deakin (canada, ontario)

Dr. Brad Deakin founded the IASDS in 2004 and serves as its current President. After a bout of career‑stopping sciatica, he turned a personal setback into a 20‑year mission—mastering nine chiropractic techniques, earning a 2024 “North America’s Best Physicians” honor, and serving on research boards in Canada and Australia. With dual training in chiropractic and clinical psychology, Dr. Deakin directs Burlington’s premier nonsurgical spinal decompression centre, where he teaches patients to read their own X‑rays and pursue drug‑ and surgery‑free solutions whenever appropriate.

Dr. Deakin launched IASDS to give like‑minded clinicians a global home for evidence‑guided decompression and practice growth. Today, IASDS unites physicians, chiropractors, PhDs, scientists, and researchers across North & South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia/NZ. Under his leadership, members receive unbranded monthly digital assets for local‑market education and advertising, two group‑coaching sessions per year (covering Best Practice, Growth & Development, Technology, Navigating the Digital Era, and Website & Branding Tips), website recognition, a 50‑mile protected membership radius, and the society’s annual Distinguished Member of the Year honor.
