Our Story

In 2004, I founded the IASDS with a simple conviction: when clinicians have a higher standard, patients win—and so do the practices that serve them.

At the time, I was seeing two problems play out in parallel. First, skilled chiropractors around the world were doing meaningful work, but too often they were isolated—learning in pockets, reinventing systems, and lacking a true peer network built around excellence. Second, non-surgical spinal decompression was growing in interest, yet the public conversation around it was inconsistent. Some messaging was unclear. Some was overly branded. Some was driven by hype rather than education. I believed our profession deserved better: a global home where competent providers could sharpen their clinical thinking, strengthen their delivery, and communicate with clarity and confidence in their local markets.
