IASDS – International Association of Spinal Decompression Specialists

ABOUT US

Advancing Spinal Decompression Through Research, Education, and Professional Standards

Our Mission

Advancing the Standard of Spinal Decompression Care
The International Association of Spinal Decompression Specialists is a professional association dedicated to advancing the field of non-surgical spinal decompression.

IASDS is being developed to support international collaboration, research awareness, professional education, technology standards, and a more consistent understanding of spinal decompression across clinical and professional settings.

Our goal is to help create a stronger foundation for the field by supporting professionals who are committed to evidence-informed education, responsible technology use, patient-centered communication, and higher standards of care.

Our Purpose

Creating a stronger professional foundation for spinal decompression providers worldwide.
Spinal decompression has become an important option for many patients dealing with advanced spinal problems, disc-related conditions, and chronic spinal stress.

However, the way spinal decompression is explained, marketed, and delivered can vary widely from one practice to another.

IASDS was created to help bring more clarity and consistency to that space. Our purpose is to support providers who believe in better patient education, advanced decompression technology, chiropractic principles, and a clearer standard of care.

Meet the President

Dr Brad deakin | Burlington, oN - canada
Dr. Brad Deakin serves as President of the International Association of Spinal Decompression Specialists, helping guide the association’s vision, professional standards, and long-term development.

Based in Burlington, Ontario, Dr. Deakin has spent more than 20 years working with patients who suffer from complex spinal issues, including disc-related conditions and advanced spinal problems.

His work is built around patient education, detailed spinal analysis, advanced non-surgical decompression technology, and a chiropractic-centered understanding of the spine, nervous system, and the body’s natural healing ability.

Through IASDS, Dr. Deakin’s goal is to help elevate the profession by supporting providers who want to improve clinical communication, strengthen patient understanding, and contribute to a higher standard of spinal decompression care.
